There are very few people in this industry who can truly say that they believe in and practice exceeding their customers' expectations every day. Larry Newberry, the warehouse manager for Vogue Tire in Atlanta, happens to be one of those extremely rare people. His deep set of personal values is the ideal fit for a company with over 100 years of history that also produces the best tires on the market. We believe that one of the reasons Vogue Tire has been around for over 100 years is because of people as dedicated, talented and unique as Larry. We are proud to call Larry a 10-year member of the Vogue Tire family and can't wait to tell you about this remarkable member of our team.
Prior to joining Vogue Tire Company, Larry worked for one of the largest Toyota dealers in the Southeast. He left that job to join Vogue when he wanted to seek a better work-life balance, and to have more time to spend with his family. Larry’s kind character and easy-going nature coincide wonderfully with his dedication to doing right by his customers and his absolute knowledge of everything there is to know about warehousing and distribution tires and accessories. He embodies the spirit that’s made the Vogue name synonymous with style and quality for over 100 years.
When faced with a difficult situation, Larry is always up to the task. Several years ago, Vogue Tyre needed to move its warehouse so that it could handle an increasing volume. Larry was able to move the entire warehouse over the course of four days without disrupting our customers' businesses. He and his team were able to relocate over 15,000 tires, hundreds of wheels, and thousands of tire racks to get our new facility up and running in no time at all. When asked how he was able to manage such a complex operation so quickly, Larry attributed his success to the hard work of his team: "You are only as successful as the people around you," he said, "and I have a great team."
Larry’s first priority is his family. Combining his passion for the outdoors with his love of nature, he enjoys fishing and taking his family fishing with him. Larry estimates that he caught nearly two thousand fish last year. Larry is also an avid Georgia Bulldog fan and was proud to see them win the national championship this year. When not watching the Bulldogs, Larry also enjoys spending time with his wife and three grandchildren.
Customer service is a term that tends to get thrown about in the business world without regard for its true meaning. Companies like Vogue truly embody an incredible customer service attitude and it’s people like Larry that have made their unique vision a reality since 1914. It’s no surprise that the warehouse phone never goes unanswered. Our customers can call him anytime they have a need or that he remains fully accountable for solving problems; even when the issue has nothing to do with his error. He’s built a reputation that’s as solid as Vogue itself and his dedication to doing things the right way the first time and treating his customers with fairness and integrity allows Vogue to build and reinforce customer loyalty year after year.
We know that our company would not be what it is today if it weren’t for people like Larry. That’s why we wanted to put the spotlight on his accomplishments and more importantly, his attitude. Larry is known for a high level of commitment to being the absolute best at his job—a quality that coincides with our goal of delivering the best tires in the world. And because of team members like Larry, we haven’t stopped thriving 108 years after our founding.
We produce the best tires in the world, and we employ the best team in the industry. That’s the Vogue difference.
